Well, I've joined another challenge, this time from the very creative Michelle Ward who I found through Jenny Doh's blog. It is a fun art journalling project which has seen me cutting out snowflakes from folded paper, (I didn't realise how large the first one was but it came in useful at the end to provide a 'covering' for the quote I love from the Little Prince, "It is with the heart that one sees rightly, for what is essential is invisible to the eye"), using gesso as a primer for my pages and 'spilling' acryllic paint all over, spraying with water, scraping with a scraper card and generally have a fun time 'going with the flow'. I'm very much a beginner at all of this but it is a great way to learn more from others and to experiment. I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Sheila - thanks for coming to play! Welcome to the team :) I love that huge snowflake - looks like it's own page tipped into the journal. Glad to hear you had so much fun. Bravo!
I love the pop up effect of the big snowflake in the middle. Great colour.
These flakes are great! I love your choice of red too. So glad you joined the Crusades.
WOW--that is such fun, Sheila! And fun to learn about this challenge, I'd not heard of it before. Perhaps it's time for me to get "messy" with a craft?! LOL! ;o) Have fun! ((HUGS))
I love your pages. Very much puts me in the "Valentine's Day" spirit:-) Also LOVE the name of your blog. As my children grew up, we always had hot tea and cookies every afternoon after school--and that activity spurred many lovely conversations:-)
Such fun seeing how your first Crusade with Michelle and the Street Team is taking shape. Love those valentine colors! -- JeriAnn
I love the red and white colors you chose -- brightens up the winter. Lovely!
Great layouts! Some of those smaller snowflakes look very intricate. Nice contrast between the red and white.
